Degustations
Clovely Estate City Cellar Door
Kumbia stone fruit is one of Queensland’s favourite summer fruits. We were absolutely excited to hear from Clovely Estate City Cellar Door who were keen to collaborate and create an event showcasing Kumbia stone fruit. Executive Chef Mike Kirwin delivered an exquisite 5-course degustation with each dish featuring either peaches and nectarines paired with Clovely Estate wines. Kumbia growers Tony and Mia Dugdell joined us and guests had an opportunity to mingle with the growers. Our mutual collaboration to help support our Aussie farmers through social media and print media marketing proved to be very effective and we all enjoyed a beautiful evening.
If you would like to collaborate and showcase your product through creative and innovative strategies we’ll be more than happy to chat with you.
Meet the Growers
I.M. SWEET Australia
at Toombul Fruit Market

We love nothing more than seeing locals enjoy Australian grown produce. Our ‘Meet the Growers’ event was a lot of fun. We were able to share some creative ideas with the green grocer to promote I.M. SWEET Australia. The product was captivating with an enormous tiered fruit display and our promotional bookmarks and posters. Toombul Shopping Centre were proactive assisting with social media website and in store interactive displays to help give exposure pre and post event.
We were absolutely delighted to know that third generation grower Dasha Sherif was joining us. For the first time ever he made the most difficult decision leaving wife Sherie to manage the orchard while heading up to Queensland for the launch of I.M. SWEET Australia. It was a hectic morning hosting the product launch at the Brisbane Markets and then over to Toombul Fruit Market to host ‘Meet the Growers’.
The support from so many locals was overwhelming as each person was super excited to talk to the growers and share stories of their own, while tasting the Goulburn Valley’s delicious apricots. Business owners Nick and Tina of Toombul Fruit Market showed their appreciation to highlight Australian grown produce. They were overwhelmed with how many customers commented on the amazing flavour and immediately filling a bag to take home to the family. I.M. SWEET Australia harvest is between November and February. Product Launch
JAZZ™ Apple Launch
We were absolutely overwhelmed with joy when MONTAGUE approached us with an opportunity to be the brand ambassador for JAZZ™ Apples in Queensland in 2019. Of course, we said yes!! We know it is a Global award-winning brand and is the go-to apple in Australia. The flavour and crunch is exceptional and consistent and it’s an apple you’ll always enjoy!
The launch was hosted at the Brisbane Markets within MONTAGUE and R.W Pascoe wholesale market floor. We strategically planned this event to ensure the product was in full view and the merchandise was available. To create an enticing and country-style theme we used the MONTAGUE apple cart to display the apples and promotional posters. It’s critical to have a professional and engaging promotional team and we were grateful that Flashpoint Promotions was able to deliver. The promotional girls offered JAZZ™ Apple tastings and were very enthusiastic. Greengrocers couldn’t get past that flavour and only have one bite, they indulged in a few. Throughout the season greengrocers observed many customers and received nothing more than positive feedback with sensational flavour and crunch. We absolutely enjoyed this event and managing the Queensland campaign for 3 months.
International Women’s Day 2019
Women in Horticulture
We know that International Womens Day is a significant event to celebrate and acknowledge the contribution Women make in society. We discovered that Regional female farmers work so hard and we felt that it was time to highlight their achievements.
This event showcased producers from the South Burnett and Southern Downs regions. We organised the venue and catering to accommodation and entertainment and everything in between. We hosted this event at MODA Events Portside. As most producers usually are either harvesting or working on their farms we were grateful that a few growers were able to attend including the Granite Belt’s Toni Nicoletti of Nicoletti Orchards and Traprock Region Stone Fruits grower Dinie Ferrier and Kumbia stone fruit growers Teresa Francis and Libby Dugdell. We were also joined by the Mayor of Southern Downs Tracy Dobie and South Burnett Regional Council’s Kristy Board who helped share insights into the region’s producers.
Head Chef Stephen Nardo and the team created an oustanding dining experience featuring Nicoletti Orchards apples in a delectable dessert. The growers provided heartfelt speeches and many guests had an opportunity to speak with the growers and learn more about their roles. It was a wonderful opportunity for guests including greengrocers to meet these incredible Women and learn more about fruit harvest and many other aspects of the industry. We are looking forward to hosting another International Womens Day event in the future!
If you would like to host an International Womens Day we would love to provide our services and help you create the most spectacular event!

PRODUCT LAUNCH
Nicoletti Orchards
at Zone Fresh Gourmet Markets

Granite Belt apple growers Toni and Daniel Nicoletti enjoy their visits to Brisbane particularly when they have an opportunity to meet green grocers. We launched the Nicoletti Orchards Royal Gala apples at the MONTAGUE market floor in Brisbane only a few days before students resumed school. We staged a fun and creative school themed promotion. Oodles of fresh Nicoletti apples lined the market floor and green grocers couldn’t get enough of that sweetness and crunch! As part of the promotion we developed marketing materials including a range of posters for the stores.
From the Markets to the Green Grocer the growers were welcomed at Zone Fresh Gourmet Markets. Our Meet the Growers event proved to be a huge success with many shoppers extremely delighted to talk to the growers. Both Daniel and Toni enjoyed sharing their stories offering a taste of their new season Royal Gala apples. Nicoletti Orchards harvest is between January and May and remember you can buy them all-year round.
Growers & Grocers Orchard Experience 2017
Traprock Region, Stanthorpe Qld

This event offers an opportunity for green grocers to learn about the growing regions and to meet the growers in person. In this package we provide a weekend getaway which includes 2 nights accommodation, all meals and beverages, a chartered bus and a tour of the orchards followed by a lunch in the orchard. We love to support local businesses and all of the contractors are local and the food and wine is also sourced locally.
This was our very first event and not everything went according to plan though thankfully we had plan B in place. Sadly the orchards were hit with heavy rain the day before. It was a smooth transition moving the event into the packing shed. Green grocers from South-East Queensland thoroughly enjoyed a multi-sensory experience. Guests boarded a chartered bus and ventured out into the Traprock Region, some 30 minutes from town. Stone fruit growers the Finlay, Ferrier and Pratt families greeted the guests and provided insights into the operations of their orchards. These families produce incredibly flavoursome peaches, nectarines and plums. and green grocers were extremely grateful to have met the growers in person, finally. We were all mesmerized by the exceptional feast that Executive Chef Ben of McGregor Terrace Food Project’s provided. The spit roast lamb wafted throughout the packing shed as guests took their seats. Ben showcased the stone fruit in a tantalizing dessert. Mike Hayes of Symphony Hill Wines hosted the wine tasting and both Symphony Hill wines and the growers Rosemary Hill Orchard wines were consumed on the day.
Our contractors were local and all produce was sourced from local farms. The Granite Belt Brewery offered the perfect rustic and cozy accommodation and the dining experience was incredilble. Guests left with a gift bag of Regional products and beautiul memories they will cherish forever.
Traprock Region Stone Fruit is harvested between October and December and you can find this flavoursome stone fruit in local fruit shops.
