What a great start to the Traprock Region stone fruit season! There are some amazing varieties still to come and it’s been a very busy few weeks at Divine Fruits!
GREENGROCERS OF THE SUNSHINE COAST
We had an amazing visit to the Sunshine Coast to drop in on some local Green Grocers wanting to find out what their customers are saying about the Traprock Region stone fruit so far. Remarkable flavours and they just can’t get enough! Making our way around this scenic region, we stopped in at Erbachers Fruit and Vegetables in Diddillibah, Fenwicks Fruit Emporium in Buderim, Pardons Fruit in Noosa Heads and B Fresh Market Café Deli in Warana. For more info on each of these great locations, click each Business name! Make sure you ask for some Traprock Region goodness before the season comes to an end!
A DIFFERENT SPIN ON NECTARINES
For something different last week, we’ve created a delightful Nectarine Mocktail recipe, perfect to quench your thirst coming into these warm summer months! Super simple, and so delicious, you’ll wonder how you’ve been living without it!
Ingredients: 1 whole nectarine, sliced, 1 cup of ice, half a lime squeezed, a dash of cranberry juice and orange juice to top.
Method; blend nectarine slices, ice and lime juice until slush consistency. Add a dash of cranberry and pour into glass – Top with Orange juice. ENJOY!

PEACHES OR PLUMS, WHICH DO YOU PREFER?
The last few weeks have seen oodles of the yellow peach Princess Time being harvested and just running out the doors of local fruit shops. These beauties have a deep red skin and yellow flesh and are slightly sweeter than most peach varieties. Another variety currently in stores is Ivory Duchess, a white peach with deep red skin which is crop heavy this year so producing a good medium sized fruit, perfect for those school lunchboxes. But wait there’s more! Arriving fresh off the trucks tomorrow we have Red Centred Plums in full swing meaning you really can have the best of both worlds, or should I say harvests!
